The Local Difference

Don’t Just Watch the Games. Understand Them.

In 2026, the world will descend on Kyrgyzstan. Thousands of spectators will come to see the spectacle of the World Nomad Games. But while others watch from the periphery, we invite you to experience this gathering as a guest of the host nation.

As a local family, the games are personal to us. They are a celebration of our history, our survival and our identity. We have designed this itinerary to take you beyond the grandstand. We don’t just hand you a ticket; we provide the context.

We move from the electric energy of the stadium—where we have secured premier access—to the quiet dignity of the remote communities where these skills are still practiced for survival. This is a journey that bridges the gap between the performance of the games and the reality of nomadic people.

Escape the Crowds

From the Arena to the Mountains.

The World Nomad Games are exhilarating, but they are also intense. Our route and transport are designed to provide the perfect counterpoint.

We utilize our private fleet of premium vans and 4WD vehicles (Mercedes Sprinter, Toyota Sequoia or similar) for comfortable transit and freedom. During the games, this fleet gives you the flexibility to move effortlessly between the Opening Ceremony in Bishkek, the Hippodrome in Cholpon Ata and the Ethno-Village in Kyrchin Gorge ensuring you never miss a moment of the action.

After the games, we leave the popular tourist tracks behind. We travel to hidden corners of the southern shore of Issyk Kul and ascend into high-altitude valleys known primarily to local herders. You will travel in climate-controlled comfort through landscapes that feel prehistoric—ancient hunting grounds, turquoise alpine lakes and vast, silent valleys where the only traffic is a herd of horses moving to higher pasture.

Access & Adrenalin

The Rise of the Warrior Woman.

We ensure you see the icons of the games—the thundering hooves of Kok-boru (headless goat polo) and the precision of the archers. You will have central seating for the Opening and Closing ceremonies, ensuring an unobstructed view of the pageantry.

But we also shine a light on a modern Kyrgyz phenomenon: the rise of female wrestling.

Kyrgyzstan is currently a world leader in this sport, home to World Champions and Olympic medalists. As a Kyrgyz woman, it is a point of immense pride to show you this evolution of our culture. We will guide you through the brackets, helping you follow the rise of our female athletes as they dominate the world stage.

Beyond the spectating, we offer participation. Through private evening workshops with local masters, you will handle the bow and learn the strategy of Toguz Korgol, transforming you from a passive observer into an active student of mountain cultural traditions.

Feast & Fire

Fuel for the Nomad.

Side-by-side with the games, we take you on a culinary journey through the melting pot of Central Asia. You will taste the distinct flavors of the cultures that call this region home, from Uzbek and Uighur specialties to Russian and Dungan dishes.

But true nomadic food is about energy. We will show you how mountain people fuel themselves for the rigors of herding and hunting. You will experience the "Food of the Warrior," culminating in the preparation of Tash Kordo.

This is not just a meal; it is an event. Tash Kordo is an ancient hunter’s dish—a whole lamb marinated and roasted in a pit oven. It takes two people an entire day to prepare, from slaughter to service. You will witness the process and share in this primal, celebratory feast.

Cultural Insight

The Show vs. The Survival

To the outsider, the World Nomad Games are a thrilling performance. To the nomad, they are a stylized remembrance of survival.

On this tour, we connect the two.

In the stadium, you will cheer as an Eagle Hunter calls his bird for a competition of speed and accuracy. Days later, you will stand in a silent valley with a real hunter, watching that same bond play out in the wild—not for a medal, but for the history of the practice.

We peel back the layers of the "Show" to reveal the "Life." You will see that the archery, the wrestling and the horsemanship are great sports linked to the ancient muscle memory of a people who have thrived in the mountains.

Accommodation

Sanctuary After the Spectacle.

We believe that high adventure deserves high comfort. We have curated a mix of lodgings that offer the best standard available in each location.

  • The City Base: In Bishkek, we relax in a 4-star boutique hotel.

  • The Resort: During the excitement of the Games in Cholpon Ata, we stay in a modern Kyrgyz resort, offering a clean, well-appointed sanctuary away from the crowds.

  • The Wild Luxury: As we move into the mountains, we stay in comfortable alpine lodges, character-rich guest houses and our signature luxury yurt camps—allowing you to sleep under the silence of the stars without sacrificing warmth or comfort.

Honest Expectations

Discomforts & Rewards

While we provide a VIP experience, the World Nomad Games is a massive, developing-world event. Navigating it requires patience and a flexible spirit.

  • The Crowds & Chaos: Thousands of people descend on a small region for this event. Expect heavy traffic, large crowds at venue entrances, and a general atmosphere of organized chaos. While our private transport mitigates this, moving around will take longer than usual.

  • Stadium Seating: While we secure the best available tickets, "VIP" seating in local stadiums often means hard plastic benches or concrete steps rather than plush armchairs. We recommend bringing a cushion for long events like the Opening Ceremony.

  • Schedule Changes: The Games schedule can be fluid, with event times shifting at short notice. We stay constantly connected to organizers to update you, but a willingness to "go with the flow" is essential.

  • The Contrast: This itinerary moves from the noise and energy of the games to the profound silence of remote mountains. The shift in pace is intentional but can be jarring. Be ready to switch gears from high-stimulation spectating to quiet, reflective wilderness travel.
